A recent study has looked at many of the outpatient and doctors office visits and found that approximately 5% of the time patients are misdiagnoses. Unwanted health consequences include delayed treatment or unnecessary treatment in the health care settings. Policy makers, healthcare organizations, and other shareholders now must figure out ways to minimize these diagnostic errors.
