Results from a new survey suggest that the risk of fall in obese Australians over the age of 65 increases by 31 % compared to their healthy weight counterparts. Despite that greater fall risk, obese participants did not have a greater fall-related injury which may be due to the greater amount of adipose tissue protecting the bone.

What recommendations do you give patients to reduce their risk of falls? Name medications that would increase the fall risk.
