New research finds that a pacifier-activated recording of mother’s singing may help improve a premature baby’s feeding and could lead to an earlier discharge from hospital. Although weight gains between the two groups were the same, those that listened to recordings while sucking on a pacifier ate faster and were able to eat less with a feeding tube.
How extensive are pediatric services you provide in your pharmacy setting? What do you find especially helpful in reducing the hospital stay of premature babies?
