According to the report published by the CDC, the percentage of high school students using e-cigarettes rose from 4.7% in 2011 to 10.0% in 2012. Use in middle school students also doubled. In addition, more than 75% of these users also smoked conventional cigarettes. Although the FDA plans to begin regulating e-cigarettes in the future, currently information about constituents and harmful ingredients in these products are not known.
