May is Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month, and the FDA is reminding the public of the discontinuation date of the last two CFC inhalers. As the phase-out of CFC inhalers gradually approaching to its completion, the last two CFC inhalers Combivent Inhalation Aerosol and Maxair Autohaler will no longer be available after July 2013 and Dec. 31, 2013 respectively. The FDA urges providers to switch patients to another approved product as soon as possible. Have most of your patients been switched to HFA inhalers? Do you still have some who are using Combivent and Maxair?
