_MG_4198_noCPRAn 87 year old resident of Bakersfield, CA, passed away last week after collapsing at the Glenwood Gardens independent living facility. Staffers placed an emergency call to 911, but resisted urgent requests from the operator to begin CPR because they claimed it was against the company’s policy to provide any type of medical care.  Much controversy has arisen over this sensitive topic and related Good Samaritan Laws. What are your thoughts on this ethical dilemma?
