Fluarix Quadrivalent, produced by GlaxoSmithKline is the first intramuscular vaccine to offer protection against four strains of the seasonal virus. It is approved for children (three years and older) and adults. Current trivalent (three-strain) vaccines protect against two A virus strains and the a B strain that is expected to be predominant in that particular year. The new vaccine will offer further protection against a second B strain. The new vaccine will be available for the 2013-14 flu season. How many of your patients received a flu vaccine this year?
