A randomized, placebo-controlled trial from 1997 to June 1, 2011 evaluated the effectiveness of daily multivitamin versus placebo in preventing heart diseases in 14641 male US physicians.The study concluded that daily multivitamin use had no effect on reducing major cardiovascular events, MI, stroke and cardiovascular mortality.  Have you recently received questions from your patients about multivitamin use?
