The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) just posted new recommendations for all baby boomers, those born between 1945 and 1965, to get tested for hepatitis C. Approximately one in thirty baby boomers are infected with the virus, although many believe they are not at risk for infection. According to the CDC, the new recommendations could potentially benefit more than 800,000 people, who may be unaware of being infected with the virus.
