Blood sugar-monitoring devices show better improvement in glucose control.

The Annals of Internal Medicine recently published a meta-analysis comparing continuous glucose monitors with insulin pumps to finger-stick testing with self injection. The analysis of 33 trials concluded that insulin pumps and daily injections are similarly effective however combining continuous monitoring devices with insulin pumps achieved better glucose control than the combination of finger-sticking and insulin injections.   How many of your patients with diabetes have embraced these continuous monitoring devices?
